when ordering this suspension Im assuming I am going to have to specify the spring rate as I did with my GC coilovers. What should i go with and why?

I have not checked, but cait sith stated that the rates are about 550 Front and 330 rear on the Tein FLEX systems. To me this seems pretty good. I'm sure TEIN has matched the dampers pretty well with these rates. Seems like a balanced, more neutral outcome as opposed to increasing to a 400 lb./in. spring in the rear like cait sith stated that he would prefer. One thing I did not mention above, Is that when I do get my JIC's in....... If for some reason I feel the spring rates are a little too soft, I can adjust the preload and effectively raise the spring rate.Originally posted by larryd
do you know what the default rates are?
Well............. I was supposed to be putting them on today, but cant do to weather conditions here..... snow. Build quality is TOP NOTCH...... excellant. I cant physically see anything that I would want to change......yet anyway. If you purchase your JIC's through an authorized dealer, they can obtain any part you need for the FLT-A2 set. Obviousley you will need experience with rebuilding....... but that go's unsaid.....right. Other spring rates are also available. You just need to specify what you want. I purchased my FLT-A2 set from Scott Belcastro at www.victoryperformance.com I had a very good buying experience dealing with Victory. I cant form an opinion yet as to if they are worth the money, but I will post my results after getting them installed and giving them a good workout. The greatest attribute to the JIC's is that no matter where your height is set at you can still have full suspension travel. A good thing for 2g owners who want a lowered ride height. I will say though, After doing some more reading even after purchasing, these are probably not for the regular guy. There is going to be some setting up to do to get these things performing perfect. They are 15 way adjustable for both front and rear and with the combination of an adjustable lower spring perch and separate adjustable height ability's they will most likely cause the majority of owners to want to rip there hair out during setup.Originally posted by cait sith
How do you like those JIC's? Are they as quality as the price goes? Are they revalvable/rebuildable (Big question for me)? I'm getting a set of coilovers sometime in the spring, and I do Autocross/Roadcourse/(Drift)...
Sorry if this is off topic. :\
