a) Yes, but I just need someone with experience to validate my choices.

I plan on getting JIC J-Force 05, just wondering if they will be ok on a 2g?

Thats a pretty generic request. Do a bunch of searching. I don't recall seeing many 17x8.5" wheels, but there's plenty of 17x8" wheels out there. If you get the right offset and a 17x8 wheel, you can fit 245/40/17s, but since it's street only, its up to you if you wanna spend that kinda money on big rims and tires. If you only want decent looks and don't need anything amazing for grip, you could go with a cheaper 7.5" rim and fit 225/45/17s.

Edit: just noticed you said 18s and not 17s. My bad. haha. Same thing as above only you'd be looking at 245/35s or 215/40s to stay nice and close to stock diameters.

since you want to "slam" your car as low as you can go. Get a 18x7.5 with a 40-45mm offset getting a 18x8.5 with a 38mm offset will fit but you car will sit higher than the narrower wheels

I'll do the 7.5, would i be able to fit a 235 on there and still have good grip?

If you do 7.5 width you'll probably want to stick to a 225 tire. You're asking a question best suited for the guys who track their cars. However, most of those guys use 17" wheels and have performance as their #1 priority. So it might be tough getting the right answer for your situation.

I would say the safe bet would be a 18x8 wheel and a 225 tire. That would be sufficient for street use. You'll have to wait for a 2G guy to chime in on what offset range you need to stay in.

+40mm is generally a good offset. You can go less but if you go wider then 7.5" rim they will start to stick outside the fenders. For the profile we need to run 225/40/18, 225 is usually the most they recommend for a 7.5" wide tire.

I run 225/40/18's with a 7.5" rim & 43mm (I believe) & I have no issues of rubbing with about a 1.7" drop. If I could have my choice I would run a 8" rim, 235/40/18 tires with a 40mm offset.
