Im having some problems with a set of rx7 wheels that i have. The backs dont clear the rear control arm. I put a 5/16ths spacer on them, but the tires rub against the arm.

As for my suspension setup, I have, GC Coilovers (w/ Eibach springs) and kyb AGX's back there...any ideas? Would adjusting the coilovers possibly fix that problem? or do I need to use a bigger spacer with longer wheel studs?

if you have an awd you need to grind away some of the rear control arm and add a spacer. i think i used 10mm spacers but im not positive. im also running 225/50/16 kuhmo escata supra tires with stock suspension.

hope that helps

I am running 225/50/16s. Oh yes it is an awd. I dont really like the idea of griding the control arm...scarry stuff, any other ideas?

Its really not that bad man. you are only taking away MAYBE 1/4-1/2 an inch. the rim with 10mm spacers barley doesnt clear the rear control arms. i have had my rims for about 20-30k miles on two diffrent awd's and i have not had a problem yet. it also only takes about 10 mins with a grinder...:thumb:

All you do is grind that little lip that protrudes from the side of the control arm enough to give clearance for the rim/tire. It's really not a big deal.

Can anybody post pictures of the grinding they had to do to the control arm? I would like to see exactly what was grinding before purchasing a set.
