The last owner of the car took out the power steering pump and lines without swapping the rack. Now I have some play in my steering during left turns and the drivers side front tire squeels during harder left handed turns. So I plan on switching my P/S rack for a manual rack. ( I've driven the car without P/S and I don't mind it.) I've found what I think I need to switch it out. I need a manual rack from a 1.8 right? I found some manual racks on car-parts.com for around $80-100. I'll also need a passenger side bracket from what I've heard. Where could I get my hands on one of those? And last some new tie rod ends. Is that all I would need for the swap?

Yes. That's all you need. Metal bracket from Mitsubishi. $4-$5. Most racks from the 1.8L will still have the bushing on it and they are usually fine so no need to buy a new one unless it's mangled.
