well my car has been sitting a while and now the rotors are rusted (might be the problem) and my abs light is on aswell. is there anyway i can fix this problem it takes forever to stop and its not very safe. do u guys think after the rust goes away itll be alot better? i just bought the car and it was sitting for a while.

alright i sanded the rotors and i found out the my pass side speed sensor some of the prongs are chopped off.....is this a problem? and do i really need abs? is it a crutch or is it a necessity?

im looking at these prongs, theres some that are chopped off....can i buy something to cover it so i have all prongs? or is it not needed? is this the reason i have no abs? do i need abs? thanks alot guys so far!

well personally i prefer ABS over non-ABS, just the piece of mind that your tires aren't going to lock up on you and cause you to slide out of control when something pops out in front of you... in the winter it is alot nicer, you can kind of drive and brake as if it were summer with it on icy roads... the speed sensor prongs being chipped off might be a reason why you dont have ABS, if it is bad enough, the controller won't know how fast that wheel is spinning, so it can't keep things consistent throughout the duration of braking... i might be wrong, but it is a possibility.

Prongs?

Blasting air or water around the speed sensors is Step 1 (as I already wrote). After that, you have to find someone with a MUT-II to read the code. The popular Snap-On code reader can't read our ABS. Nor can any of those cheapo code readers from Pep Boyz.
