I tried to do a search but i was unable to find anything about what I am looking for.

First, I am looking to buy 18's for my 96 eclipse. What size tires am i going to have to get so that the 18s will fit? the demensions of the rims are "18x7.5 inch rims 45 offset Lug pattern 5 lug 5x114.3" Will these fit? Pros/Cons of 18s?

Second, if an eclipse goes to air suspension, we have to get air rods, correct? I am having a difficult time trying to find a price or information about these. Anyone able to help me? Pros/Cons of air suspension?

Thanks!

Sounds like you're going for the "cool-look-low-rider" thing....beauty in the eyes of.....

Air suspension:

Pro's - adjustible ride height
Con's - everything else sucks.

And that is with an engineering team designing the system....Now, take an aftermarket 2-bit operation looking to market an air-suspension then you have a real basket case.

I am not aware of ANY successful race team using an air suspension.

coil springs and dampers are tried and true.

Yopu can weld bags in, but it's almost redundant since they make cylinders and brackets especially for our cars.

It's hard as hell to get our cars to lay body, the rear wheel well sucks and will need to be cut to get it to lay. You'll sit on joints in the front end..etc etc.

I have cylinders on mine. They are a son of a bi*** to keep up, they're REALLY annoying, the bounce is annoying and the car is easy to bottom out. You feel EVERY and I do mean EVERY slight bump or curve in the shape of the road.

If I had to choose between "bagging" my car again or not, I defintely would choose not to. It's a cool factor, but such a pain it's not even worth it.
