suspension problem causing bad tire wear

when i bought my car last October (2001) it had some work done to it. It already had lowering springs so i dont know for sure which springs or how many inches the drop is. I also have 18" Ace rims with Kumho 712"s...

Anyway since i've had to get new tires like 3-4 times because im getting bad uneven wear. What happens is... the bar that goes over the tires (front.. not sure what its called) is like 1/4 of an inch away from the tire... so i know it rubs the tire on bumps or something. A brand new tire is already wearing out because of this.

What should I do? Am i forced to go the 17"s or is it maybe just a bad drop. It doesnt look too dropped, i mean it looks normal... it just for some reason sits too close to it.

Any idea? anyone have problems similar to this?

An adjustable camber kit is used to adjust the toes of your tire degree x amount of degrees from the stock location. Many places sell them, and speed/rice shop will have them.

I recommend Ingalls, they make an excellent kit.

hey thanks! had no idea...

i did a search, and on ebay i see they sell for about $150-175 for the front and rear. I think i just might need the front... not sure yet. But I did a search on here and found a couple of threads where people say they got the "home depot version" ?? for like $20sum or something.

any info on that? or should i just buy the real thing for 150 or so.
