its time to think about suspension mods to the TSi. i drive the car daily to work (on crappy roads, yet) and to school, but i want to upgrade the suspension so that its only lowered a little bit, and it will help improve its autocross performance. im concerned that with all of the potholes and uneven surfaces in NEPA that the car will scrape, as ive seen on a GSX at my school. i am still a bit concerned with ride quality since i put almost 400 miles on the car in a week. I already planned on installing KYB adjustable shocks, so my main concern is with the springs. what springs are everybody running so i can get some feedback on how springs compromise ride quality with handling?

If you're looking for good ride quality, I'd advise against AGXs. You'd be better set with some Konis, but with your 2G, you have a lot of options to choose from.

H&R & Prokit springs only lower around an inch - enough to make a marked improvement at AutoX without worrying about every dip & bump in the road scraping you up.

If you're committed to AGXs, then there's little we can do for you. They have too little rebound damping for autocrossing and too much compression damping for the street.

If you're willing to consider other options, then what's the budget and what are the relative importances of street ride and autocross performance?

yeah im pretty much open to any suggestions anyone has. i wasn't set on the AGX, so if i wind up not getting those it isnt a big deal. i wanted to see if i could get it as close to 500 as possible, i know its going to wind up being higher, but that gives you an idea. id like the ride to be a bit stiffer than stock, but i dont want it to rattle the car since the roads here truly suck and i drive to allentown every week, and sometimes back in the same day. i guess street ride is a little higher on the scale of importance than autocross performance. lots of body roll currently, i dont know if sway bars will help that or if im going to wind up using too much sway bar and not enough spring.
