I am about needing to under-go some front end work here shortly.......I am gonna start with the ball joints....was wondering who has done it and how painful it was, also a good price to pay for them and from where.....and maybe the CV joints also...if anyone has the same info help me out.....tried searching for a while and couldnt find much....maybe a tech article, but I am looking more for personal expirences....Thanks :thumb:

Check for a recall on the balljoints. Otherwise, you'll have to do some wrestling with the Moog catalog to find the parts without having them come with the arms.

The CV joints you don't do. You do axles with them in place. If they're quiet, don't mess with it.

Well they are making noise, so I guess they need to be done....but the ball joints are a guess...I had one replaced about 30,000 miles ago. Now when I brake sudden or a little hard, it makes a "clunk" noise and has a jerk to it...Also when I accelerate harder. My guess was the other ball joint, and if I do one I might as well do the other....If there are any other suggestions as to the cause, I will gladly consider them before ordering all of the parts....and Defiant I appreciate the responce, thank you :thumb:
