i have a 17x7 rim (5x114.3) with 41.33mm offset. I took em to a wheel shop and they went to put it on and they said it will rub the upper control arm in the rear, so they wont fit.
I bought nankang 205-40-17 tires for these. I read up on offsets and stuff on here, but statistically, i think these rims should fit. Will these rims actually fit or not? Can i use a 5mm spacer for these rims to fit?

my car is at stock height, but i decided to go with 17"s because i bought eibach sportlines, which arent on yet.

Should bit... but using 5 mm spacers will definitely give you some peace of mind... but the main thing is that'll push the wheels out and more flush with the flender.

Get the H&R spacers. Only spacers that have the quality I'd trust.

I admittedly have no experience with 1g fitment, but with tires so small you should have approiximately enough room to fit a ripe eggplant between your tire and the control arm. You should do a little more research and find another tire shop.

I believe you should be looking at 225/45/17's.

My son is running 235/40/17's on his 1 G with no problem, I'm not sure what his wheel offset is.
