Will Tein Basic be enough for me?

I have to replace my shocks cause their blown and not rebuildable. I was looking at the Basics, but need to know if they are going to work for me.

Before everyone says do a search, I have and most of the threads relate to performance for racing.

I have a 99 Eclipse RS, I don't race, but my car sits about 4" of the ground with 17's on 205/40's. I am just looking for a setup that will keep me from bottoming out, and bouncing all over the place.

Don't get me wrong, I like to go fast, but for now I am just looking for something that has a good rebound, and will not bottom out.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

If you don't race and don't care that much about performance, wouldn't coilovers be like skining a field mouse with a chainsaw?

Just go with springs and good set of shocks (like Konis). I say good shocks because that pretty much is the main determining factor in ride quality... not the springs (like most people would believe).

Either H&R or Eibach have springs that only drops the car by 1" or so... or 1.5" and up if you want more.

shox.com has a vehicle dependant chart that shows you what's available and the amount of lowering you can expect.

No need for coilovers for show either... once they're on the car, you can hardly seem them.
