Last summer I tried to recharge my ac system thinking it may have just went empty after all these years, so I went and bought a recharge kit and some plugger for it.

When I put the refridgerant in it, it all blew out very quickly of what seems to be a gasket or something on the ac condensor..

I was pretty much wondering if you think my compressor will be ok? And can I get a gasket for the condensor somewhere? I am going to daily drive the car again when I get it running so it would be nice to have ac for humid ohio summers and because my cruise control works so it would be cool to have full working accessories :)

Well there are a few things that can leak @ the compressor.
The o-rings on the lines,or the compressors manifold gasket/o-ring.
High pressure relief valve can be leaking. Or the compressor body itself.
It's not your low side fitting connection to can itself is it?

Maybe a little dye in there can help you narrow down the culprit?

No all the air blew right out of the one fitting that goes into the condensor but i dont know if they compressor and anything else will be broken after who knows how long it hasnt been working?

There are various orings and gaskets for the lines on AC systems. Any of them could go bad and cause the refridgerant to leak out. Sometimes it is the line itself that is leaking. The first step in AC repair is running dye through the system to see where it is leaking from. Then you know what to replace.

Now, I hate the stop leak stuff. It works great at plugging leaks becuase it reacts with oxygen. However, it can also ruin the compressor and a bunch of other componients by plugging them up, as well. It works TOO good. LOL. I never recommend it to anyone who wants to keep thier car for a long period of time. Chances are you will now have to replace more than just the leaking line. Also, note that some AC shops will not recharge your AC if stop leak is found in it, since it can damage thier machines.

Need to fix the leak & find out.
I have had good luck actually converting many 1g's to R134.
The nippondenso compressors seem to hold up well.
