Going to the dyno tomorrow excited in my experiment build(s) as I have been planing and checking eatch stage of turbos and cams and whatever else is needed to increase power. Check my profile to see what I will be starting with. Please feel free to guess what my numbers will be tomorrow from whats listed in the profile. I am going to dyno this then switch to cams, fuel type, and boost and see how much difference eatch thing will be. After that I will be following to a evo3 16g and with no cams and then with cams I hope to build a diary of whats estimated all the way up to 600hp and what turbo and mods it will take to get there using different parts. Also to renote I really want to see peoples estimates on what this 14b will be, base psi will be at 15.

LOL why? Its not like its going to change anything. Its seems to me like your already have everything set. I mean it would be different if you were asking between product A or B which will mostly likely benefit you the most but your not so um yea... I mean i wish you the best at the dyno and hope you get close to whatever goal your attempting to achieve. I just don't see the point of us guessing LOL.

Oh theres no goal I just want to see what numbers it will put down. I know its crummy 14b and everyone knows its not going to make ton of power. But for me its just something to do for entertainment. Guessing is just for fun for everyone to do as forum community.

Thats will actually give an answer to a question that is asked 10 times a week. :hellyeah:

It has been posted alot about what to exspect from your setup, but I would be glad to show dyno sheets and do some changes to the setup for people to get a understanding and a peice of mind, like a reference to go off of. I don't mind starting at 15 and go to 20 and find out how far can go before I need race gas. I don't think I would run the 14b to 20 psi withouth race gas but it doesn't matter to me. Also will throw on the evo3 16g all these small variables would give people a peice of mind. Then I can compair the jump of hp from those turbo's. When I first started thinking about dsm
s I was not rich and didn't want to spend alot of money, but I would like to have a fun street car like most people. And knowing I have spend under $1000 on my setup and seeing it make good power is what most people like to hear. Just more fun exsperiences to share.:hellyeah:

Ok I made it to the dyno and numbers are what I thought thy would be. I will post a dyno sheet later when I am home, but on a 14b with 550cc injectors and safc with a 11:1 a/f, I made 230whp and 200tq at 14psi. This should give everyone peice of mind on what to exspect going this route, but also remember im fwd auto and 5 speed would get about 10 more ponies added then the auto. I wasn't able to turn up the boost and couldnt get my hands on race gas. I do know with a few more turns on the boost controller I could make 250whp easy. Now I am going to put on my evo3 16g, 1000cc fic injectors, dsmlink and probably run E85. My assumption is on pump gas at 20psi on the 16g will make around 300-320, but you will need a real good tune. As for trying to run more experiments I am just going to have to skip and jump straight to 350whp and see if she will give me it. Need her ready for next season and I am going to be to busy this winter to have to much fun testing. Thanks for reading.

congrats

when are you going to begin pushing it to the 300+mark?

Getting it all installed sometime next month depends if the weather is friendly.

Very nice Clipto, i too have a fwd auto in a 98' Talon that i just bought(for my wife) and i'm looking to take it to the 250-275hp at the crank for now. I am finishing my basic tune up parts as recommended by this site including all belts, just waiting for it to warm up here--Michigan-- but thats what my first goal is. Good luck on your build and i will follow this thread.
Ryan
