99 eclipse 420a build

hey everyone, I've had this car for a year now and thought i would share my progress. I'm only 18 and having this car showed me the in and outs of cars.
when i was 16 i had a yz125 built for racing so i purchased this
6in lift with pro comps 35" tires. All the girls liked it

then gas prices went sky rocketing and i turned 17 and decided to invest in a car which we have a love hate relationship.

After buying 99' gs 420a with garrett 60trim.hahn port fueler. few more other things. i blew cylinder 3 piston right up. the 2nd day i had it. Apparently the "turbo" pistons he said were in it, were actually stock ones my choices were to sell it or keep it...

i decided to order in wiseco pistons, eagle rods, had it bored .20 over. I luck ally finished the build before i left for camp woodward. My dad drove the car to break in the new pistons. 2 weeks later i had the car with me out in Pa

I didn't really drive it to much out there since i was ridding Bmx and living there i didn't need to drive. But while i was out there i tried to "clean" up the bay a little

Then winter came and i put mud flaps on

And while at work someone hit my car and left

I didn't drive the car to much after winter. Then came sti vs evo day and i talked to emery from stm and erkel from e-spec and it made me want to have a faster car but i still wanted to keep my 420a and not buy something else...
my bay after evo vs sti

well 3 weeks ago decided to turn my boost up in the car and 15psi stretched out the head studs 2nd time i had to pull the head off the car. this time ordered arp head studs. send the head out to be milled. poly motor mounts. new water pump

Now up here in North jersey there isn't any close Dsm by me. There is more stances out vw, audis up by me so its an influence on how my car is built. moved the battery to the trunk, also tucking some wires. Im still waiting on my Ic pipes to arrive so i can put everything back together. While working on the car i got my 6 month old husky and my 2 yr old lab that are with me, they help me a lot

I've built this bottom end. and a year later fixing my top end. I use this forum for everything and once i get my ic pipes in and my car is all together i will update with the specs and pics

Plan- 20psi and see what it makes on the dyno

i believe its a star manifold, t3 flange, 38mm waste gate. i might look into getting a manifold built like a ram horn style

little update. build is finished. car is running amazing. i need to order up new gauges which I'm thinking about going pro sport gauges. I wanted to trade my tails that were after market for stock tails but no one wanted to trade around me so i did a little custom work, pulled them apart painted the inside red and red tint the outside lens. I'm fine with how it turned out! now on to the pics (still thinking to put something in the space on my bumper like a duct of some sort, keeps engine temps down though )

next on the to do list I'm thinking getting rid of the drum brakes and going disk brakes. also getting spacers for the rear and cleaning up the car a little more

I'm thinking i might do something with the valve cover. its a "hammered" paint thats on it now. i just used the purple cause i had and extra can around the house and needed to throw off just the silver and black. and i have so many pictures of my husky haha. but all poly mounts except the trans mount. that ones brand new
