I just bought a Quaife for my FWD 98 Eclipse and the speedo ring and both bearings are pressed on alredy. I'm just waiting to get my clutch so i can do them both at the same time... I did a search and I didn't find exactly what I'm looking for and I have the VFAQ on the install but I'd like your opinions on it. How easy is it? Is there anything that I should really know before starting? Any problems I'm gonna run into? Is there a specific way to put the diff in, like do I have to line the gears up in any way besides interlocking them. Any advice would be great.

Thanks guys,

taking the trans apart will be easier than you expect, you dont really have to worry about liniing anything up perfect..

BUT

one thing to MAKE SURE you do is seal the case properly when your done.. because if ya dont.. and it leaks.. you gonna pull it ALL out again... FUN!

I just apart my first DSM trans today from my buddies car. He messed it up pretty bad so it was junk and he gave it to me to learn. Getting to the diff. and taking it out is SIMPLE! So if anyone is gonna do this... don't be scared, it's not a bg deal. Any questions just ask.

Well I got the Quaife and I took some pictures for ya guys if you wanted to check it out.
