i was wondering why my shifter doesnt shift smooth anymore? shifter mods are :those bushings in it that make it shift tighter and a short shifter . I havent had a problem until about 2 weeks ago. it doesnt go strait in2 gear it like "clicks"/"catches" once before it goes all the way in. thanks for all the help

Its normal. That click or clunk is what people complain about when they change the shifter plate bushings to metal ones. I have the shifter plate bushings, the cable bushings mod, and the B&M short shifter set to 50% reduction. It does not bother me a bit as long as I am going through the gears without engagement issues. I noticed it takes a little more effort to shift than stock, but nothing that I did not get used. It's not like the click or clunk is jamming me up. I personally like the feel. If you have metal bushings maybe you can try the poly bushings. Supposedly they have less clunkiness to them, but still take up the slack.

Pennzoil Sycromesh. I switched over from Redline MTL 90. They are both good, Pennzoil is less expensive for the same performance. Plus you can get Pennzoil at your local Autozone or automotive store.

As far as Redline I used MTL 90. I believe that Pennzoil only comes one way, which is a yellow bottle that say Pennzoil Syncrmesh. That is for a 5 speed that i used both oils in.
