I heard, that someone in Moscow was going to establish on Talon TSi AWD or on Eclipse GSX 1G the transmission from mitsu 3000GT AWD.
I do not know, than it has ended, and whether has ended in general, but it's interesting
IS THIS REAL?

As to whether it's real, I don't know.

Possible, Yes. My friend owns a Stealth R/T TT and we did a clutch recently. I did some measuring. Their tranny's won't just bolt right up, the bolt spacing is different. The general bolt pattern is similar though, but about an inch larger. Adapter plate! As far as general overall dimensions it's only about an inch larger also. If you got one bolted up it might not be possible to install the motor and tranny separate, they might have to go in/come out, as an assembly.

6 forward gears are special.

You would need an adapter plate, custom input shaft and drivelines/half-shafts. Pretty damned cool...

Ah...didn't know it was a 6 speed....nice.

Another thing that might be worth looking into is some of the larger 4g64 blocks. Some of them have a wider bolt pattern and it might be possible to build a hybrid motor with the intentions of bolting it to the wider 3s transmission.

It might be easier than an adapter plate if you were already planning on building a project.

So has this ever been done? And how about fabrication of the drive shafts?

Anyone want to estimate the costs of having this done?

I would say less than most folks think on driveshafts, there's a small shop in Seattle (well, Shoreline) where you can order any half shaft you need (my step-bro's 86 GTS has rare half-shafts, the shop made custom ones out of more common GT units for $150 for the pair). The input shaft would best be done in a local shop, look in the local yellow pages. The adapter plate may need to be custom made, in which case check the prices of raw steel.

The guy in Moscow which wanted it to put, probably yet has not found a suitable copy. As she costs and it would be desirable to not overpay. So, while details are not present and to share there is nothing. But as soon as will be, I'll write. And myself I'll put, if suddenly appears, that it has risen without problems and gives sense. It is good that also losses in it were less. But I don't know nothing about this drivetrain

This really shouldnt be that hard if somebody wanted to do it.

It could be easily worked in there, I am pretty sure it would handle the power in our cars really easy.

The only problem I have heard opf with the drivetrain is snapping output shafts.

I guess the heavy weight car and strong tourqe will do that, I bet it would hold up in a 2700lbs dsm easily.
