tranny grinds second!

when i drop it into second it grinds but when i put a little pressure on it and slowly let it fall in it doesnt! i was wondering if it is the syncro or if i didnt do something right when i installed it!

I would & I have...

- thoroughly flush & BLED the clutch slave cylinder.

- check EVERY bolt on the linkages under the hood.

- check the cable end bushings UNDER the HOOD for slop.

- THEN go into the console - check for slop or loose shifter mounts.

- LASTLY readjust the cables per the VFAQ. Any of the changes above change your adjustment so always do that last.

Switch to Pennzoil Synchromesh. And yes, that's your synchros working.

so if it falls into place the syncros are still good? and where can i get that penzoil stuff from?
