i just read that old thread that was braught back, now i am kinda worried
i broke my trans, i opened it up and it was the center diff, i am getting the rebuild kit today infact.
but after it broke i had no idea it broke because i got a bunch of stuff for my car and was hot roddin it around right after i broke in the clutch, i thought to myself, MAN I AM ROLLING THE TIRES HARD, wow i love this clutch it is the best thing ever made!
eventually i heard a loud thud and it started acting like a slipping clutch, so i drove it home, pulled out the trans, took it apart and i had a bunch of the center diff fall out into my hand when i opened it up

it was rear wheel drive for a while, then started to become no wheel drive, do u think i broke something between the t case and the rear wheels?

i hope not because i will hafta wait forever for parts again:cry:

i know the reason i was rolling the tires so hard was because of the center diff breaking(causing the fwd to not work), and all the stress on the rear wheels could have broke something elce. It easily broke the tires loose, so some of the power was lost due to tire spinning, which would make it less harsh on the rear drive train, but i still think i broke something in it, what would cause it to feel like a slipping clutch?

since i am not getting feedback as to what is probly broken, I am going to check the viscouse couplin and the rear diff an the transfer case.

how do i check the viscous, the rear diff, and the transfer case. I think i can figure out the rear diff and t case, but i cannot figure out how to check out the viscous

the viscous is already out of the car, i just need to know how to take it apart and what it will look like if it is normal
