I'm planning on removing the clutch master cylinder for rebuild. Currently waiting for parts. I looked under the dash to see how easy/hard it will be in getting the cylinder out. There is a large clutch spring in the way of getting at the clevis pin. Is there only one bolt holding the spring or must I remove more in order to get at the pin?

No,you do not have to remove the spring.Pulling the M cylinder is a pain in the ass.Ive messed with my master cylinder at least a dozen times.I always remove my seat, makes it a little more comfortable.Throw a shirt or something on the gas pedal and compress the gas pedal with ur head(sounds messed up) ,but it gives u more room:D

To make it even easier, don't even pull the clevis pin. Instead, just unscrew the threaded rod that's used to adjust the clutch, that's the rod that goes into the master cylinder. Much easier, much less swearing.

Hey,

Thanks for the help. I removed the seat which made it alot easier as well as didnt remove the cleavis pin, unscrewing the threaded bolt was so much easier.

Thanks again.
