awd tranny has no forward gears?

I pulled out of my driveway todayin my 91 talon tsi awd, accelerated at a normal rate, then it just popped out of gear on its own? the problem is it didnt pop out at the shifter, it seems internal. It will go into 1st and move about 1ft. then pops out again, all I hear is grinding if I throttle up after it pops out? I DO have reverse, and it WILL stay in that gear. Any ideas? I just recently had an ACT 2600 instaled if that helps. any help will be appriciated. Thanks.

have u tried to adjust your shifter cable, and check your clutch adjustment . u kind foind out how at vfaq.com it might help

Sounds like a cable/linkage problem.
