This morning I went to go start my car and as I pressed the clutch down, I felt something "break":( . I released and press the clutch pedal again, only this time is doesn't go all the way down to the firewall...it stops 1.5" from it no matter how hard I pushOMG. I can still drive the car, but it is hard to get it into any gear without that extra travel. The clutch isn't slipping or smelling. I checked the fluid and it was black, so I bleed it and also changed the master cylinder. The slave was replaced 6months ago. The problem is still there:mad: This is with a ACT 2600 (installed 2years ago). Any help is much appreciated...

My best guess is that the plunger inside of the slave cylinder is having a hard time moving smoothly for some reason, not allowing it to easily extend to its full length. You may also try adjusting the clutch pedal freeplay, and checking the shift fork and TOB.

Well, I crawled under the car today...and the slave cylinder seems to extend correctly. The clutch fork, however, can be moved around a little with the slave cylinder untouched. When I compress the slave, the fork moves even more(I can move the fork up, down, left, and right). Time for a new fork? Should I go OEM or AFTERMARKET(if so, what vendor)?

Considering you have the added pressure of the ACT2600 I would go with an aftermarket fork, www.taboospeedshop.com sells a good one. You might want to replace the TOB while you are in there since you are gonna have to pull the tranny for this. Go ahead and check your clutch for wear too as you might want to save taking the tranny off again later if the clutch is nearing the end of its life.
