hey, i've got a 92 TSI AWD, and i need a new clutch, i'm just starting to mod this and i would like to run 13's and this still be my daily driver, so what would be the best clutch for me and how much are they and where can i buy it? also, about how much does it usually cost to get a clutch installed?

thanks

Matt

Most shops will do it for about $300-$400, but if you know what you're doing (or have some knowledgable friends) I'd say do it yourself...

It'll probably take 5-6 hours if its your first time, but if youre mechanically inclined at all, it shouldn't be too difficult...

generaly a clutch install in a fwd based car(meaning the trans is under the engine instead of benind it) is about $400, depends on where u take it, most places will charge u by the hour, so u can expect to get charged for 3 or 4 hours of labor because they have to drop the trans to get to the clutch, and u have to take several other things out toget the trans off
it usually only takes us about 2 to 3 hours to replace a clutch, but we know what we are doing and have done it more then once on a dsm, honestly if u can get the trans off u can replace the clutch urself, the only problem is getting to the trans bolts, u have to remove ur intake, battery, front axels, and quite a few things in ur engine compartment to reach them and get the trans out
