When my car is hot I hear a rattle coming from the tranny (passanger side in the engine compartment). When I push in the clutch it goes away. Release the clutch pedal and it comes back.

I don't seem to hear the rattle when the car is cold. Any idea whats goin on here? I'm about to drop my car off for a timing belt change but not sure if I wanna get this checked out first. :|

Thanks guys.

Most likely the t/o bearing, but have them check the input shaft for excessive play (which would indicate faulty input shaft bearing).
