Sticky Shifter

I have 99' Eclipse RS. It's a stick (of course). Anyways, my shifter has been sticking in 1st and 2nd. It's never slipped or missed a gear or anything just kinda gets stuck (for like 2sec) when shifting from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd. I read an article on ClubDSM.com about the shifter plate. I’m not sure if that's the problem or not but I just wanted to ask some people b4 I took the boot off and messed around. Thanx

After I got the shift plate stabilizer bushings my shifts felt alot smoother. Try it, hell for thirty bucks if it doesn't help no big deal.
www.machv.com has a good set of machined bushings. I wish I would have gotten those instead of polyuretheane.

P.S. Not to sound like an ass, but are you putting the clutch all the way to the floor? Sometimes I'll catch myself not doing this and it complicates shifting.
