Just completed the swap and it runs good, but I have a few wiring problems that I can't figure out.

For one, the neutral safety switch, I located it on the trans, pulled it off and put it on the connector from the ECUs and I have it wedged in there so its grounded to a bolt and pressed down so I can start the car.

How do I connect the clutch pedal so the car will not start when the clutch is not engaged? The neutral safety switch wiring is 3 wires I also don't know how to bypass the wiring rather than wedging the switch in there.

Also I can't get they key to come out, even when the neutral safety switch is in, its getting annoying having to take my radio face off every time I get out of the car. Any input is appreciated.

drive train

go down to there it says 5 speed into auto conv.
its on the last of the page, shows pics of what wires to cut, and where to put them.

to be able to take your key out, when you did the conversion, did you take off a cable that runs from your inigtion to the shifter?

well on the inigtion asymbly, when you did you had to unscrew like three screws to get the cable off the inigtion, inside that is a like a small piece of plastic, just remove that and replace the white plastic cover and the three screws and you should be fine.

about the neutral clutch start switch, i just left my alone. i can start the car without stepping on the clutch. which you have to remind yourself to always put the gear in neutral before starting the car.

the vfaq.com has the explaination of the auto-manny swap.

also did you figure out how to wire the back-up lights when in reverse?
i don't see the connector for that but i have a plan to hard wire the reverse backup lights.

later.
