shiftlinkage or tranny?

okay heres the story...

my 2nd gear was bad.. it woul dgo in and make a grinding noise...

anyways a month later.... guys idk what i did.. i was being dumb on the highway... well i was dion over 125 this is no joke tho this is serious... anyways... i had it in 4th gear .... i had 1 hand on the wheel and 1 hand on the gear shifter in 4th gear pressin hard down... when i stopped... my shift linkage i guess idk if its that or the transmission... its all messed up.. i have no reverse... and my 1st goes in but then i can force it more in... its wierd how to explain....ill shift to 2nd it makes that noise still and then it moves but theni can force it more down and i hear another clunk.... what could be wrong?..... 3rd and 4th gear goes all the way too far in too

yea i understand... what ur sayin.. its hard to explain... but where my gears are set up... where the shiffter is at.. its all messed up 1st gear goes far too in and makes a double in i can put it into 1st gear... then with more force itll go in again even more in

sounds like you need to tighten up your shifter cables that are under the boot,you may also need a new master cylinder and/or slave cylinder. pushing down on the shifter should'nt hurt anything.

idk i think its the transmission itself.. 2nd gear and reverse dont work anymore...all the synchros are gone too
