How many quarts of tranny fluid...?

Hey guys... just need to know how many quarts of tranny fluid i need for my transmission. Its a 1992 5 speed for the awd. Help would be appreciated. Thanks...

I just changed some and I can't remember, it was either 2.5, or 3.5 quarts.

also for some reason 2.8 came to mind but the capacity

is awd 2.3 and fwd 2.1 taken from RRE directly..

i was reading my chiltons manual today because i put GM synchromesh in(DOESENT WORK, DONT BUY IT!) and it says either 1.9 or 2.3 qts depending on tranny but i dont know which i have cuz its just a part number. just fill it until you see it coming out the fill hole and its full according to the manual..mine took a lttle over 2 qts

Does that 2.8 lt cover the cransfer case to?? Im doing my tranny right now also. thanks
