HELP! DSM Wont move , locked.

i had a tow truck come for the car to move it to a friends house, And it wouldn't roll

forward. like if it was in gear. but it was in neutral , i moved the shifter around and

got in the car and held the clutch pedal down. and it still locked up, like if it was in

gear when the tow pulled forward. "" i could see the cams rotating as the car was

being dragged up the ramp"". what could cause this ? . also i just did a engine

swap. did i miss something ? i was thinking maybe the slave/ or the master . but

really don't know.. ALSO starter wont make attempt to start so i believe those two

issues are connected.. Thanks guys

if it dose not move the master slave could be bad and leaking or also it could be your clutch master cylinder leaking. if they are it is bad air can get into your whole clutch system.

You have a broken 3-4 shift rail. It is stuck in 3rd or 4th gear and if you put it into 1st or reverse, you are in 2 gears at once, which means the car won't move. If you leave it in neutral, you are in 3rd or 4th at all times. The trans needs to be torn down and THIS replaced.

Note that shift rails usually don't break for no reason. The synchros are most likely grinding causing the rail to break. People should never force the trans into gear, especially when it is grinding.
