what the |-|ell happened???

ok here's the deal. i have an 92 automatic 2.0 GS (don't make fun of me please).

this morning i was leaving to go to school but before i did i was messing with the trim around the shifter and had the e-brake up to pop it off. i finished and left to go to school and i noticed somethin weird about the way it was driving. finally about a mile later i realize my e-brake was still up.

ok so after i get to school i shut off my car go get a friend and we drive around the block(cuz its just fun ridin with friends) and got back shut it off and did it with another friend. everything seemed normal.

so then after school is out i get in my car start it and it won't move at all (except reverse). so i check my tranny fluid and i am almost all out. so i get the same friend's mom to take me to autozone to get tranny fluid so i get back and put it in and it still don't move. after a while first gear finally caught at about 3000-4000 (guessing it was revved good) rpms jerked and then i was driving around the parking lot for bout 10 minutes waiting for my mom to come rescue me and take me home. so the i drive around the block again and the second turn 1st gear won't catch again. d@mn that sucked i coasted and parked in a parking lot. got my dad to tow me with a tow rope and now my car is sitting in my dad's driveway.

so do you think my 1st gear is f*cked?
how much do you think it would cost to get it fixed?

when you added fluid did you start it 1st, and run it through all the gears, then top it off?

Fluid level must be checked in neutral, but it sounds to me like your trans is FUKT, and I've seen a lot of them. More bad news- it's expensive.
