Auto FWD Help!!!!

Ok I have a 97 talon as you can see it is FWD and an auto so what i need help with is where can I buy a LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL for my car. I would like a full one but I'll do a sandwich plate one if i have to. so I don't do a spin again and i can get all the power to the front wheels. This is what happen to me I'm rebuilding the car but I don't want it to happen again. When i get it all done.

Also I'm going to get a shift kit or do I even have to? Seeing that it is all controlled by the tcu can i just tune it some how? Please help and thank you to ever one that can and dose.

P.S I'm not going to do awd conversion so don't even say it.

Better wheels, better tires for more traction. How much boost are you running? I know our cars can torque steer but damn. I never ended up out of my own lane, let alone in a ditch dude. Probally need to hone up on your driving skills. Also, search for Diffs man. PLENTY performance shops sell them. Just email them or call and ask man. And DO NOT BUMP. Mods will get on you about that.

I would suggest getting a dyno proven 400FWHP before you get any sort of diff.
If you can't handle a fwd car, don't bother modding it, you will end up at the very least in the ditch, yet again.

I don't think there are any companies that readily make limited slip diffs for the autos. You'd have to get one custom made to fit. Your best bet there would be to contact Kiggly for options for custom mods to get one in.

I have to agree with the above posters. For your mostly stock car, you really don't need limited slip. Based on your write-up on cardomain, it was just a crappy set of circumstances. Limited slip wouldn't have helped. Besides, for power on conditions on poor roads a non-limited slip diff is going to make the car more stable than if you had limited slip. For instance, on ice with the limited slip you'd break both tires loose and start to drift sideways. The non-limited slip will allow you to maintain your intended direction of movement while merely loosing traction on one wheel. For a daily driver driven year round in a local where there is ice/snow, I'd keep the non-limited slip diff.

IPT Performance Transmissions Torque Converters and Transmission Parts for Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Import vehicles

I rebuilt my A/T with their Performance Rebuild Kit and Performance Shift Kit...world of a difference! I also thought about an LSD but changed my mind, since my car is a DD and never tracked. These options, though great upgrades, won't keep you out of a ditch if your not careful.

ok first off it was not my fault that it happened i was going 43 in the 40 with a cop falling me and had to stop for the stupid guy in front of me sooooo..... and trust me I can drive. it was a combination of things my cheep as hell tires that the previous own had on the car. the gravel on the road and the guy coming to sudden stop. the only thing that stopped me from plowing him was me fallowing the 3 second rule. I though i could get on the shoulder of the road and get around but when i turned the wheel i just spun around on me. the cop thought is was so weird how it just spun me around like nothing. i got nothing the cop let me walk with nothing. and the insurance gave me $4000 for the car when i bought it for 2,300 and only put $800 into the car. I'm just looking for a good full LSD that is what this post is about. I wrecked my it was bad enough don't insult me and tell me i can not drive. have been drive 4 wheelers for years and drive my car for 2.5 year with out even a fender bender. from the time i was 16 to the time I wrecked my talon.

With the tires i had on the rain the car would walk sideways if i was turning and while pushing the gas down. so what are some better ways to get traction im going to do wide wheels and tires also suspension what are some other thing that might help out?
