I get terrible wheel hop in 1st and sometimes 2nd gear, so I am most likely about to order the Energy Suspension motor mounts. I am just looking for some feedback from anybody who has used these motor mounts on a FWD turbo DSM. Do they effectively eliminate or at least reduce wheel hop? What are the pros/cons of these motor mounts? Thanks in advance.

Oh OK. I admit it, I use poly motor mounts on my FWD. They helped a lot, although I did loose a little feel for when the wheels were spinning. With street tires it's nice. When I got Nitto drag radials the wheel hop came back, but it was quicker and harder.

I don't have my talon yet ... but I can speak of my expierences on the fiero.

As far as engine vibration goes I only notice a tiny tiny bit more of vibration at idle and very low RPMs, but when you get going you don't notice a thing.

I have only instaleld the front mount inserts so far because I managed to break a bolt on the rear mount trying to remove it. But with the front inserts alone I notice a huge improvement. I can now nail the throttle in first gear and 99% of the time it just spins the tires instead of wheel hopping like crazy :thumb: I can't think of any other modification that makes this great of a difference for so little money. I don't feel any more vibration than before with the front inserts installed, I'll keep everybody updated whenever i get the broken bolt on the rear mount fixed and get the rear inserts installed.

I got the prothane mounts from extreme they are better than the energy suspension ones from what people said.

Be sure and save time to do them all in once day. The front an rear are easy but the sides make it feel really solid.

Also prostreetonline will sell just the front and rear, it will only take about 1 hour to do them, and it wont vibrate too much.

But the side ones are suaully the ones with cracks.

I was getting wheel hop on my fwd. Turned out both sides were busten and the rear was loose.

Now with solid motormounts the tires let loose when I launch.

Did you get the front and rear or all four? Thanks.

When I did just the front insert I noticed only a TINY bit more vibration at idle if I really paid attention to it. With all four solid mounts it vibrated much more at idle, enough to give the car a "vibro-massage" sort of feel. But once I got going it felt fine.
