Debate about tranny fliud

Ok, me and my friend have a differing of opinions..

Him: GM Synchromesh tranny fliud ($8 per qt)
Changes once over 30,000 miles

Me: Penziol Synchromesh tranny fluid ($5 per qt)
Changes every 9000 miles (every 3rd oil change)

whos tranny will last longer? assuming abuse levels are equal..

GM and Penzoil Synchromesh are the EXACT SAME. assuming the trannies are of equal condition and are driven the same way, yours should last longer due to more frequent fluid changes, but only a marginal difference since tranny fluid doesnt need to be replaced anywhere near that often. once every 30k miles should be fine for a tranny that is driven hard.
