Clutch Chatter?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

The grabbing and slipping of the clutch disk between the flywheel and pressure plate causes clutch chatter. This is exacerbated by the springs in the clutch disk compressing and expanding to smooth out the torque to the transmission input shaft. (This helps prevent brakeage of the transmission) In a nut shell thats it. Dump the clutch --- No chatter.
