Second Gear Grind...

i have just installed a new short shifter, and since then, my car seems to grind both up and downshifting into second gear.

It seems to occur usually above 3000 rpms, and occurs much more when the car is warmed up a bit.

I tried adjusting the linkage cables, but it just doesn't seem to be helping any. What else could possibly be causing this grinding?

Dragon fly, You probaly have a bad 2nd gear syncro, and the only way to fix it is to replace it with a new one.
