Here's the situation. About to replace some drivetrain components. I ordered a Fidenza 8lb Aluminum flywheel. I bought the flywheel because I run my car at some open track events (i.e. road courses). However, I realize that the heavier flywheel may provide better "momentum" when startingto get the car moving especially in deep snow. My question is: how much will the lighter flywheel affect my ability to get the car going in deep snow (other than revving it a bit higher before easing in the clutch)? I would especially like to hear some input from people who have lighter than stock flywheels that drive their cars in the snow (Great lakes snow belt, Colorado, NW, upper NE).
