I have a EVO 3 tranny and bought a crown wheel and pinion from TRE so i can change my final drive, I have never seen the inside of a tranny before but I am mechanically inclined. The question is whether its an easy job or something best left to the professionals. Don't get me wrong the force is strong within me but I feel a great Disturbance in the force.

It all comes down to if you feel comfortable with it or not, If you have a friend who knows trannys and can watch over you i say go for it, but if not it might be cheaper in the long run to have someone do it for you.

There is nothing wrong with trying it yourself. There are a lot of us out there willing to help and sell parts if you need something while you rebuild it. I have a lot of EVO III parts in stock if you need them...
