I just got my DSM back on the road after 9 months of being down. I got everything running well except a slight boost leak and my clutch. Just so everyone knows I already bled the slave cylinder and it fixed the clutch pedal but not my biggest problem. Anytime I go to shift it will go into the top gears 1-3-5 fine, but anytime I go to shift into 2-4-R it's a bi*** getting it to go into gear. I was wondering if anyone had an idea on why it's doing this or what to look for. I also wanted to point out that it seems like when I push the clutch pedal in it makes the engine decelerate at idol. It'll be at like 1000rpm and when I push the clutch in it'll drop to almost 500 rpm

Yea I figured out the shifting thing. My shift linkage was hitting my lower intercooler pipe because I had put it on backwards:thumb: . Now I noticed though that for the first 6 inches I push my clutch in, it has no pressure. Sometimes when I shift the pedal won't even come all the way back up. I'm pretty sure there's no air in the line so I have no idea what's up there.

Hi,

Squishy pedal usually means there is air inthe lines so if you want you can check that again. If not that then it is probably your master or slave cylinders. On a 1g, to check the master you should look for brake fluid in the foot well/fire wall, so im sure its the same in a 2g. If no leak there check the slave for any leaks. Also did you install a new clutch during that 9 months? And if you did, did you get the flywheel machined to the proper step height?

It has a new slave and master so I don't think it's that. I did get a new clutch but it bought a brand new ACT flywheel too. I'm just gonna bleed the slave cylinder again. Last time I did it I just got my brother to pump the clutch a few times and hold it while I loosened the valve on the slave cylinder. I read you should run a vacuum line off the valve into a can of brake fluid. I didn't do that because I figured it wouldn't matter. Would that cause me to get air into the line?

Yeah it probably would, you need to keep the end of that vacuum line in brake fluid at all times.

The way you did it is explained here (explains keeping the one end in fluids always):

Another way is here (explains both master and slave cylinder):

Hope this helps.
