I finished removing my tranny today for a TOB I thought was bad...what a moron I was...
My clutch disk has about 6000 miles on it, just like my TRE stage II transmission. I thought my trans was to blame for the rattling noise that was coming from the transmission area and that the soft 'SHHSHHSshshshshSSHHSHShhshshs' noise was the TOB from the shop not adjusting the clutch pedal rod. The noise is actually coming from where the trans input shaft goes into the clutch disk. It has been making this noise since about two weeks after my trans install. The clutch disk was BRAND NEW when I had it installed. Very minnimal chatter, you maybe feel it chatter about 4-5 times when it engages during normal driving. No clutch slippage at 13 psi on Evo III 16g.
Is this a 'detrimental' problem or should I just ignore it until it starts slipping? I hope there is no other thread similar to this one and if so, just lock it.

until it started chattering and disengagement issues.
