i have a 2g 5spd. and i recently had a problem where I would have to hold the clutch in for a while before I could get it to go into gear. now it wont go into gear at all when i push in the clutch. I can get all the gears when the car is off but the clutch wont release for some reason. I started replacing the master cylinder and slave cylinder yesterday and im kinda scared i may have a broke spring in my clutch, i just had it put in not even 15,000 miles ago. But I noticed that when taking off normal I do have wheel hop and i think thats a sign of a broke spring. Any one else have any ideas?

Ok I have the new slave and master cylinder installed and i bled the clutch lines over and over but I still cant get the clutch to engage. I can go through all of the gears but it still wont let me engage the clutch for some reason.

have you tried pulling off the boot to the clutch fork and looking inside to see if the fork is broken or the TOB is broken? also have you tried adjusting the master cylinder? if its all good you may have to try to get the extended slave cylinder rod, but i dont really think thats the case. the pivot ball the the clutch release fork wears out over time and that might be whats going on also. you jus gotta use process of elimination here. hope this helps ya.

sorry for double post, my computer screwed up

and I forgot to mention that when it first happened it would be hard to shift and then it would go back to being normal, it did this for about a week and a half so I thought that maybe it was because of the slave and master cylinder so I replaced those and its still stuck.
