another Spec clutch Q
Well, my clutch just took a doodoo. I was thinking of getting a spec stage 2. My question is, does the flywheel have to be stepped like the ACT's?

I see you have a fidanza aluminum flywheel, do these have to be stepped also?

Yes. You can't machine the surface of it though, you have to buy a new friction surface I believe.

Sorry for the newbieness. If I buy a new one(fidanze aluminum), I don't have to step it then right, since you can't machine it ?

Right. It will come "stepped" from the factory. It's just bolted on and it is the correct height. BTW, ebay had the best prices for the flywheel when I bought mine, and Titan Motorsports had the best price for the clutch. Not sure if it's still true, but I'd look at each in case you haven't.

Yeah, traffic really sucks with it. Luckily I'm not in it too much, mostly highway driving for me.
