bought car according to owner new hardware clu. clu. mas .cyl ......... but does not want to go in to gear i was told to tightenen bolt for clutch assembly. and add fluid steps would be use full pick to somtimes goes right in but somtines hard to stick it in 1st and when stoped
 
Boostd92, the pedal assembly problem is mostly for 1g's as I believe the 2g set up is a bit different. OP: Does the clutch engage right off the floor when taking off? If so, I would try and adjust the master cylinder rod under the dash, above the pedals. I think that this is what you were told to do. It's a simple process, but space is tight. All you'll need are some pliers/vice grips, and a wrench. Get under there and adjust the rod that is coming from the master cylinder by loosening the nut on the c shaped bracket, and turn the rod so it gives it more throw. I'm not sure if you'll be turning it clockwise or counter clockwise since I have to see it to tell you. I'm pretty sure it's clockwise though which will give you less threads of the rod threaded into the c bracket. After turning it a few turns, tighten the nut back and see if it engages any better.
