Me n my buddies took the motor out to do replace maintenance stuff, we got a stage 2 clutch from rip force or something and a fidanza 8 lb flywheel on a stock 2wd tranny. We bolted it all up now when the cars running you cant put it in gear. If you start it in gear it moves the whole car with the clutch to the floor and you cant take it out of gear when it wolnt start. We replaced the master and slave cylinders and bled the system. What is going on?

That there is what we in the biz like to call a ####-up.

Did you check the alignment of the clutch fork after getting the tranny into place? If you push on it it should be dead center or slightly to the driver's side when it hits the clutch.

If it isn't, have fun pulling your tranny and shimming the pivot ball.

Second thing to check is the adjustment of the master cylinder. See if you can get it working by spinning the shaft a bit.

If the car is a 1g, check the pedal assembly. It might be toast.

Do you feel any strong resistance when you push the clutch in or is it soft? If you pump it a few times, does it get firmer? (the clutch pervert.) When the pedal comes back up, put a toe under and try to pull it up higher. If you can pull it up you have air in the lines or a bad pedal assembly.

Glad you used the spline tool.

It has nothing to do with any of the above.

The clutch fork is the thing sticking out of the tranny in the picture below. The slave cylinder rod pushes on it. It should be aligned as mentioned in my first post.

If the pedal feels soft you probably still have air in the lines. Did you bleed it right with a tube on the nipple going down into fresh brake fluid so you could watch air bubbles?

What year is the car? Did you check the clutch pedal assembly?
