I have a 1990 TSi AWD and if i go to take off in 1st through 5th the car starts rolling but is held back and will not move after the clutch is fully disengaged. Moves fine in reverse. Please help! Feels exactly as if the ebrake is on but i know its not and the calipers are not frozen.. Will turn the tires on jackastands but struggles alot...

My 95 tsi awd has a similar problem. When I put it in 1st-5th gear and let out the clutch it just grinds. It goes into gear with the clutch depressed just fine. It just does it when I go to let it out.The car won't move a bit. I can however go in reverse like you with no problem. Anyone have any idea of what might be causing our problems?

Once the clutch is fully engaged the car stops moving... So that means it kills?
