is there any special way a pressure plate needs to be resurfaced, or is it even possible?

Egad, what kind of a cut did they take off it? A surface cleanup shouldn't affect the clamping force.GSX_Dan said:It is possible but most shops won't do that kind of work. I had my ACT 2600lb resurfaced but I wouldn't trust just any shop to do it. They must shim it properly to make up for the lost material.
