Well I was shifting into 4th at about 6500rpm. I heard a grind and then drove normal. Went to down shift and all I get is 4th. Doesn't matter where the shifter is, even neutral. Today I went back to see and it works 1-2-4 and Reverse. Nothing in 3rd or 5th. Then it went back to only 4th again. Does anyone know what might be wrong?
I check the cables and the clutch feels normal just moving the shifter is hard to get into gear.
The tranny was rebuilt about 6 months ago and new slave and act 2600 clutch.
Thanks

One of your shift forks is broken. I did the same thing a few months back. Still haven't gotten my replacement tranny in yet. Your going to need a rebuild or a spare tranny. You could possibly get away with buying just the forks from shep or tre and having them installed since the tranny has good synchros. Good luck with it.

Cool thanks. I am going to take it out this weekend and get started on it.

Before you rip apart anything, check if your shifter bushings and in the engine bay shifter cable bushings are all intact.

Ya, that was the first thing I checked. Its not fun doing 3 4th gear starts.
