I have the opportunity to buy a 91 GST with a manual tranny and I have 92 GS model N/T. I only want it for parts, it does run but I was curious of how much of a headache it would be to take that tranny out of that 91 model and put it into my 92 GS. Also is there that much of a difference in the transmission mounts between the two vehicles.

Any suggestions would be really helpful at this point

you'll need to make sure that whichever transmission you use that you use the clutch and flywheel for that same transmission. otherwise the clutch and starter won't fit/work.

if the turbo car runs just fix it up. if you put just the tranny in your car it'll be a total #@%#@%#@%#@%#@% since you'd have to remove all the automatic tranny #@%#@%#@%#@%, and then install a clutch pedal/master cylinder/slave cylinder combo, and then need to buy a new turbo clutch most likely (may as well if you have it torn down) then you have to route the shifter cables, and replace the center armrest with one for a manual. it sounds like a #@%#@%#@%#@% load of work to me for nothing. your nt talon is gonna be slow with the manual in it, trust me i could only turn 16's with my 5 speed talon driving the #@%#@%#@%#@% out of it. and i had the standard mods at the time. you'd honestly be better off building up the turbo car. or at least if you are going to go to all the trouble of swapping in the tranny, swapping out wiring harnesses and other stuff to put the engine in isn't going to be any tougher.
