Tranny Parts

OK I got a new tranny put on my car. Thank god I don't have to skip third gear anymore.

I have my old tranny out of the car and for shits and giggles I am going to attempt to rebuild it.

Does anybody know where I can buy the parts for it?

Do I have to get them from the dealer. Or is there a company that sells them.

I have a first gen gearbox too...I am looking into rebuilding it. I have the 1991 shop manual too. I know of some other places that sell rebuild kits. Special parts like upgraded synchros, EVO forks, etc., can be handles through TRE or something. When I find the other sources I will post.

Good luck....maybe one day we aill corner the DSM transmission market!

When I rebuilt mine for the 2G, I went all stock so I got all my parts from the dealer (Conicelli in PA www.partznet.com). Looking back, I would rebuild with stronger internals but so far it has held up to my abuse for 60K miles.
