Belt noise that has to do with clutch?

Hi when i'm at idle i hear a weird noise on my car that sounds like a belt may be loose or something. But when i press in the clutch the noise goes away. I can't see why my clutch would have anything to do with it. Does anybody know what that may be?

I had a rubbing type noise while idling in my car a week ago. When I pushed the clutch in the noise went away. Hasn't done it since then. I was told it was prally the throwout bearing.
