My center support bearing for my drive shaft came lose while driving. How hard or easy is it to replace this? How long would it usually take to do this? I had my transfer case replaced about 2 weeks ago by the dealer and this bearing came lose Monday. Do any of you know if this problem could be because the tech that fixed the car and put the new transfer case in didn’t tighten down something or put everything back on correctly? I called the dealer and they said I would have to have the car towed over there for them to check to see if the problem with the car is their fault. If it is not there fault then I am going to be stuck paying for the dealer to fix it and one fat towing bill. Could any of you give me some advice as to what I should do? If its not a major thing then maybe I should just have the shop that my car is at now fix it. Any feed back on this would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'm assuming that your car didn't have this problem before the transfer case was replaced. If that dealership was the last ones to work on your car, take it back to them. And kick them in the nuts if it was there fault...

The car is about 40 miles from the dealer. The drive shaft didn't fall out it was just lose due to the bearing not on tight. The shop that my car is at wanted 75 to fix it. So i am just having them fix it. i don't feel like fighting with the dealer. they said if i want it done and have them take care of the bill that i would have to take the car to them and the tow fee for that would be way to high. I get my car back on friday. I also had a new o2 sensor put on the car and new catalatic convertor put on to pass smog. I am going to gut out the old one and put it back on this weekend along with my cat back exhaust.
